Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Can I try out training at Campushallen?
Yes! Everybody is welcome to try out Campushallen for free. To be able to try out both the gym and our classes, you get two free training sessions free of charge. Sign up at the front desk for your free training session. You will then get information about what classes are available on the actual day, and how to find your way in the facility. You need to bring a valid ID when signing up.

How can I learn more about the machines and different exercises?
To help our members, we have chosen to have gym hosts available in the gym on scheduled occations on weekdays. Gym hosts can answer questions about how to operate the machines, how to perform certain exercises in a correct manner and also, answer questions about the facility and the available equipment. If you want a strength training program, we recommend you book a gym instruction session by the front desk. For a personalized program, customized with your own goals and abilities in mind, we recommend you book a session with one of our personal trainers (PT). This is also made at the front desk.

How can I as a Campushallen member use Friidrottshallen (the track and field facility)?
Our customers can use Friidrottshallen on Fridays between 07:00 and 08:30, and between 15:30 and 17:00. For access at other times, the front desk sells individual training cards on behalf of Linköpings Kommun.

What happens at late arrivals?
Out of respect for our other members and for our instructors, all our classes start on time. Once a class has started it is not possible to participate in that class.

What paying methods are available when buying a training card?
The full fee is paid at once when buying a training card. We accept all common charge cards. When buying a 12-months training card, you can also choose to pay by automatic payment. In this case, the first month is paid at once at the front desk, while the following 11 months are paid by automatic payment. If you wish to buy time with a personal trainer (PT), you may also choose to pay using an automatic payment arrangement.

Who qualifies for student discount at Campushallen?
To qualify for student discount, you need to be able to show either a valid student card, issued by SFS or Mecenat, a stamped union receipt from your bank or student union, a CSN-card or a university registration certificate. You always need to show a valid personal ID at the time of purchase.

Is it possible to freeze my card on your homepage?
Unfortunately it’s not possible to freeze one’s training card on the web. Even if the idea itself is excellent, it would require for the webpage to exchange information with Campushallen’s customer database, which is prohibited under the information act in Swedish law. Therefore, if you want to freeze your card you need to visit us in person. The 150SEK freeze-fee is paid at the front desk when the card is being frozen. If you are unable to visit Campushallen in person, you have two choices. Either you fill out the form ( found at memberships and rules on our homepage) and send it to Campushallen, Johannes Magnus väg, 581 83 Linköping, or you send an e-mail to reception@campushallen.se to get a reply with a confirmation request.

What are the opening hours during the holidays and during summer?
Opening hours may change during holidays and during summer. Schedules and opening hours for these periods are posted well in advance, and can be found on our homepage, on our bulletin boards and on our front door. If you plan to work out during summer or holidays, make it a habit to check our homepage for any changes before you leave home.

Linköpings Studenters Idrottsförening (LSIF) is a non-profit organization. Why can’t membership be any cheaper?
Campushallen is run by LSIF, which is a non-profit organization. Our statutes (currently only available in Swedish under “Vår anläggning”) say, among other things, that we are to provide affordable high-quality traning. We provide a wide offering of training possibilities and generous opening hours to meet the wishes of our members.

How do you choose what music to play in the gym?
We play a variety of music genres in the gym. Since musical taste is individual, we have chosen to clarify what music is played at what times by providing a music schedule. The music schedule can be found on our homepage at Activities in the gym under the Gym/Underground section. How do I gain access to the locked kettlebells? When training with kettlebells, using correct technique is essential for your own safety, and for others’. By participating in our classes, or by showing to our instructors that your technique is satisfactory , you can obtain green cards for different areas. Show your green card at the front desk to sign for the key that unlocks the equipment you need in order to train on your own.

What are the times I need to know about when booking or cancelling a class?
If you are an active member, you can log on to our homepage and book classes in the booking section. You can make a booking no earlier than 7 days before a class is scheduled. Bookings can be cancelled no later than two hours before the class begins. When cancelling a booking, an automatic massage is sent to members on the reserve list. For these members to be able to get to the class in time, we have chosen two hours for the latest time of cancellation. If available, drop-in tickets can be booked at the front desk.

I have been given a warning - What does it mean?
You have booked a class or an activity, and you have either missed it or you have come too late. After two warnings, you will be temporarily suspended from all training and you will not be able to make new bookings until the suspension is lifted. To lift the suspension, you need to pay a 40SEK fee at the front desk. If you are late to a class, you can avoid getting a warning by booking the class again after the ticket has been released to drop-in customers (5 minutes before the class starts).

I’m interrested in working as an instructor or a leader at Campushallen. What do I do?
Look at our homepage at Campushallen’s Instructors and find out who’s responsible for your area of interrest. Contact that person by sending an e-mail with your CV along with a personal letter. Vacancies are advertised on our homepage.

Does Campushallen have an accident insurance policy in case I get injured?
No, we don’t. However, we highly recommend you to get your own personal accident insurance policy. All training is at your own risk, and Campushallen is not responsible for any injuries that may occur during either group training, individual training or in our tournaments.
